The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) is the national framework for Church of England school inspection.
The SIAMS schedule (2018) elevated the importance of the school’s vision, this is now an integral and crucial element of the new 2023 SIAMS Framework.
The Framework summarises what it means to be an effective Christian learning community. The emphasis being on the impact of provision that is driven by your theologically rooted Christian vision – resulting in a flourishing community. This is drawn from addressing the six inspection questions (seven for VA schools.) The Framework also provides an opportunity within which individual schools can answer for themselves, ‘What is the work of God in this place?’
